“The Day I Decided to Be Productive (Big Mistake)”

A cute chibi character wearing a yellow cat-eared hoodie sits on the floor with their legs crossed, surrounded by an open sketchbook, pencils, and stacks of books. They hold a large pencil in one hand and a small checklist in the other, smiling brightly. Various objects symbolizing creative and academic tasks float around them, including laptops, paint palettes, and clipboards. The text on a blue banner at the bottom reads: "TASK MASTER!" The image has a soft, light-blue border and a cozy, sunlit indoor setting.

So today, I woke up feeling like “Yes, this is it. This is my productive era.”
I made my bed, tied my hair, opened my laptop, and even poured myself some coffee.

which already felt like adulting at level 100.

Everything was going great… until I decided to take a “five-minute break.”
You know where this is going, right?
Yeah, that “five minutes” turned into two hours of scrolling memes, watching cooking videos (even though I can’t cook), and convincing myself that “research” counts as productivity.

When I finally looked at the clock, it was 1 PM.
My to-do list? Still untouched.
My energy? Gone.
My motivation? Missing since 12:47 PM.

So, I did what any responsible person would do – I closed my laptop, ordered snacks, and told myself, “Tomorrow for sure.”

Moral of the story?
Never trust the version of yourself that says, “Let’s be productive today.” She’s lying. Always.
